one week past... 11 more to go
well i have hit my one week mark and i am adjsuting quite nicely. I thought that to start off i should educate my fellow canadians in some NZ vocabulary: (bear with me)
- "tea" -supper
- "supper" -tea time/snack
- "average" -really bad
- "heaps" -lots
- "biscuit" -cookie
- "lollies" -candy
- "biscuiting" -inner tubing
- "rubbish" -garbage
- "toilet" -washroom
- "the boot" -the trunk of a car
- "nappy" -diaper
- "gutted!" -shoot!
well those are a few of the words that i have noticed. i am actually picking up quite a lot of them and i think that i sound like a kiwi now... even though my brother thinks that i just sound like a blonde.
some of the things that i have done since my last post are shopping (heaps), swimming at an indoor water park called "QE two", and watching movies with my mates. I have been having lots of fun and just yesterday i booked my bus tickets so i am all set for my travels... they will begin in two weeks. (yay!) So for now i am socializing and relaxing; it is quite hard now let me tell you :)
i will be posting more photos once i have an adapter to put my camera battery recharger into the outlet (they are shaped differently here) and then i will have more for you :D
bon soir!

Awww... two of the cute kids I am stay with: Jonti and Caitlen. Caden is the other one but he started crying and got cut from the photo. haha.

Finally New Zealand photos! this one was taken at a art gallery galss exhibit.

The crowded Singaporean mall.

Check out the humungo grapefruit!!!

Les belles fleurs....

here I am with my travel buddy for the day... her name is laura oddly enough.

this was taken on the island "kusu" that we stopped off at on our boat tour in singapore. Spot the tourist.

this half lion/fish is a common symbol around singapore.

the beautiful city of singapore! i took this photo from a boat called a junket. (it looked like it sounds)

this is in the korean airport... i stopped here for an hour on my way to singapore.
the sweet word of: arrival
well here i am, experiencing the sweet word of "arrival." I am loving it...
the weather is a bit chilly and I sometimes cant decifer their accent but other than that it is fantastic!
My flights to and from singapore were fine, the service and the entertainment options were truly amazing. when i stopped in singapore for a night and day I got to go do some exploring with another girl named laura who i met at the airport the night before.... oh so many fun adventures that day! I took a true city bus, i hailed a taxi, took a tour of the islands on a "junket" boat, shopped (and bargained), ate singaporean food and got lost of course.
This is my second day in NZ now and it is amazing... there is a party for me tonight where i can meet some of the people from the church. Dont worry, i will stay away from the boys ;)
well thats about all i can say for now... I will be posting pictures soon and more messages.
feel free to leave comments or send me an email. I would love it if you would!
